Parking in Reading on a weekday evening from 6:30 to around 9, 10 or 11 PM

Where is the best place to park in Reading, around the Castle Street area,
from about 6:30 on a weekday evening? Ideally as cheaply as possible but not
in a dodgy area. Do the multi-storey car parks (Oracle, Butts) close in the
evening or will they still be open around 9, 10 or 11? I don't know how long

Earley-Gatwick: Train or Taxi?

What's the best way to get to Gatwick from WInnersh Triangle? With
kids(8,6) and a week's holiday baggage, I should add.
South West Trains' website shows a change at Clapham Jn, don't fancy
traipsing up and down the stairs herding the sprogs. Is there a direct
train to Gatwick at all from the TV area?
