Poor old Gordon
Sat, 13 Sep 2008 21:53:37 +0100
I'm starting to feel sorry for the bloke. After all, I presume he means
well. For years we've been fed he was the master of detail, the fine print,
and works all hours to get it right. So what happened yeaterday? Having spun
an announcement that all pensioners would get "insulation and lagging"
Gordon finally ...

Automaticity?
Sat, 13 Sep 2008 21:19:16 +0100
I heard some plonker politico use it on the radio this morning. I thought
wtf, there is no such word except in the perverted world of US English. So
having dragged myself out of my pit, always a problem on Saturday mornings,
I looked it up. JHC, it is a word, an English word to boot! I must be living

Wed, 10 Sep 2008 12:56:22 +0100

lovely wife over the past week.

Local farm produce?
Wed, 10 Sep 2008 12:48:55 +0100

that sell sub-supermarket-quality fruit cheaply? (I have a fruit juicer that
I'd like to use more regularly). Organic stuff would be ideal.
Thanks.

The end of the world?
Tue, 9 Sep 2008 20:39:16 +0100
Some say tomorrow at 8.30am when they switch that thing on at Cern and make
a black hole by mistake. So I'm not bothering to get up until 8.31am. I'll
say "Adios" to everyone now, just in case!
