DAB reception

I asked some time ago about DAB radio reception in the area between
Newcastle and the coast.
I have a DAB mains radio at home and the reception is not all that good.
I was contemplating getting a pocket one for when I'm out walking and
wondered if any of you folks have experience of them?

On Saturday I went into town for the first time this year. I couldn't
help noticing that the Tuxedo Princess is still there and showing little
sign of untying and buggering off. Wasn't it supposed to be gone by now?
Any of you ship anoraks have an idea when it's going?
