MW2 Party Play

I tried yesterday taking a Party into an online game but could never get it
to work.
You first get the prompt about do you want party chat or game chat?
I selected party chat but when I then went to the lobby it was only me and
not the other members of the party?
Anyone tried taking a party into online play?

It's a FPS, period.
It might look nicer than the others, but at the end of the day it's still an
FPS with a big advertising budget.
