Storedge A1000 question

I have just purchased an A1000 to replace my existing D1000. I have
downloaded RM6 from Sun, However the software will not install. My
question is, do I need the A1000 connected to my Ultra60 before I install
RM6 as I have only tried to install RM6 without the A1000 connected. I am
running Solaris 9. Any help ...

I just managed to break my cgsix framebuffer when moving it from a SS5 to
my Untra II (inserting sbus cards into an Untra 2 is a real pain).
Anyone know where to obtain one?

Hi there
I've a laptop style slimline DVD drive I'd like to add internally to a
Netra T1 105... I've trawled my local PC suppliers and nobody has any
cables (or combination of desktop/laptop PC cables/adaptors etc) which
replicate Sun cable (540-4229) and to be honest, I'm simply unwilling to
pay Suns price ...

I can't really get a good answer to this question...
Does a SunBlade 1000 need to have a PCI FCAL card installed in order to use
the internal FCAL disk backplane?
If it does, are there specific Sun FCAL cards that work with the FCAL
drivers, or will generic PCI FCAL cards be ok?
