iPhone spontaneous reboot?
Mon, 1 Mar 2010 08:27:32 +0000
I had an odd thing yesterday where I was sending a text message and the
phone suddenly rebooted, and got stuck on the apple logo. I can't
remember how I got it going again though.
I have hardly any extra apps on it as yet.
It's also done an odd thing where a thing like a volume(?) scale appears
on the home s ...

online vids too dark.. why ?
Sun, 28 Feb 2010 18:57:44 +0000
Hi all,
I posted on this before but got no satisfactory explanation.
I watch vids on Youtube and lost of other sites. A majority of them
always look darker than they should be even though my iMac is turned up
to maximum brightness.
Is this because of the differing Gamma between Apple and Windows ?

XBMC - Mac controller?
Sun, 28 Feb 2010 09:04:40 +0000
I've got a Windows PC set up as an XBMC machine (which it does pretty
well) and currently I'm controlling it via this iPhone app:
<http://www.collect3.com.au/xbmc-remote/> which it does very well.
However, I was wondering if there's a native Mac OS X programme that
does the same thing. Google suggests not, but m ...

PowerMail and iPhone
Sat, 27 Feb 2010 22:44:43 +0000
I'm finally getting round to sorting out email on the iPhone, which I've
been putting off because all my accounts are POP, and I thought I'd have
to move everything to IMAP.
Then I saw the following in CTM's manual:
"Additionally, PowerMail has been found to coexist well with iPhone
mail; a simple strategy fo ...

Non-iPhoto images on Apple TV
Sat, 27 Feb 2010 17:41:02 +0000
Just acquired and set up an Apple TV.
Generally works very well, easy to set up, does what I expected. Slight
problems caused by my firewall but I think that is sorted.
Because I prefer to edit photos with another application, I don't have
my digital images in an iPhoto library.
Both the iPod Touch and Appl ...
