Another extension to .Mac, er, mobile me

I just received a 60 day extension on top of the previous 30 day
extension.
Now 3 months free is great. If only now they could get rid of the 386
they've got serving the pages and their v22bis modem, we'll be in
business.
I don't care one jot about mobile me or whatever it's called. I just
want .Mac mail and ...

In the process of replacing my router LinkSys with a NetGear DG834G.
Have followed all the instructions to set up port forwarding to my web
server and think everything is configured correctly but can't get it to
work.

The keyboard on my 17" MBP sometimes misses the first keystroke when it
has been idle for a while. This used to happen in Tiger and now happens
in Leopard, despite installing the keyboard firmware update.

I've decided I've had enough of using an ancient System 7-era text
search and replace tool for a batch search and replace job I do every
now and then.
Can someone suggest an OS X native way of doing a simple batch search
and replace job on a text file?
