OT: broadband upload

Is there an ISP that offers good upload speeds? I'm sending 1.2 GB of
files to a ftp site and am only getting 45kb/s (on BT) - very painful.
Virgin at home is a bit better but only 50kb/s or so.

I'm trying to work out a sed incantation to perform three simple search
and replace jobs on a single file.
I want to replace every occurance of:
<tab> with <newline>
& with \&
char no. 11 with \par
(where <tab> and <newline> are the characters with those meani ...

Volume on MacBook

Is the volume limited on a MacBook? I recorded onto a DVD from Radio 3
via a Virginmedia V+ box and it played back OK on the DVD player; the
volume was much lower when I played it on the MacBook and the audio
capture using Audio Hijack Pro (strongly recommended) sounded noisy but
the final captured audio sound ...

Deleted mail showing up in Mail Inbox

Ok, this probably dates back to early May this year when my son somehow
managed to reset my mailbox to his .Mac account. Don't ask em how, but
he managed to delete all mail in my Inbox prior to 8 May, when he did
this, and when I was out of the country.
So now I have a load of mail headers dating from 8 May to j ...

Add script to Safari

I have created my own Applescript: LogUrl.scpt , which does some logging
of Safari. I've even worked out how to give it a custom icon. I was
thinking that it would be nice if I could add the script to the Safari
toolbar.
