I'm considering junking my unreliable laptop but would like to transfer
its RAM to a different laptop. Is there a list on the 'net that can
come up with a list of compatible laptops for a particular type of
memory module i.e. 1GB PC2700 (3333) DDR SODIMM?

I will install a module 1GB; I must uninstall one module of 256MB.

I ask you how to extract the module:
- is sufficient open tap of RAM box or I must disassemble further notebook?

I've noticed that I have a folder under C:\Windows which holds a number of
files having .dmp extension.
Am I correct in thinking these files can all be deleted?

Hi,
I'm trying to sort out my mother's laptop remotely over the phone
(she's seventy miles away!). Apparently the cursor has disappeared from
the screen and doesn't come back even when re-booted. Could anyone
suggest a reason/solution? It's an HP machine running Vista and only a
couple of months old.

preinstalled. I'm not quite sure why they did this as if I wanted Google
Desktop I could download it. I'm just wondering how much of this is worth

Question: if partitions C: and D: are change from Fat 32 to NTFS
will that make unable the Factory Restore System ( formatted in Fat32 )
to see the other partitions formatted in NTFS?
So, should all partitions on laptops be kept in Fat 32 because of
