Cooling pads?

Howdy all
Sorry to bother you all with this, but I thought I'd get a better idea
from this forum Does anybody know on which is the best format for
cooling pads? I bought one with fans which runs from the USB port but
was wondering if the gel pads might be better, as they're not drawing
any power from the 'put ...

I am just about to upgrade my Sony laptop. My requirements are the
following: word processing, watch DVDs, downloading music and video files
(only through Rapidshare and from a legit. opera ng.), and burn them into
DVD.
So far I've felt rather frustrated with the present system (VAIO VGN-FS
processor 1.73) ...

I've bought a second hand Toshiba tecra M5 (it was sold as out of order)
I send it to Toshiba ASP to repair it but know Toshiba ask me 150?
($250US) to remove the boot password.
I don't find any solution on the internet cau ...

sleep / resume problems - dell inspiron, vista

Hi All,
Got a new Dell Inspiron 1525 running Vista Home Premium. Clean Dell
build. I've noticed if you allow it to go into sleep that it doesn't
recover: you have to power it off with a 4-second hold of the power
button. Manually putting it into sleep and hibernate work fine. Dell
bemused by this - anyone see ...

Laptop candidate suggestions?

Can anyone suggest a suitable laptop that I could look at to replace my
current laptop that fits the following criteria:
1. Can take 2 hard disks
2. Has a display at least 1600x1200 or better
3. Memory can be expanded to at least 4GB of RAM.
Any suggestions out there? I will be using Linux with it.

I need an Atheros-based minipci card in my x61. can anyone confirm
which minipci wireless cards from previous thinkpads'll work in this
system? bear in mind ibm/lenovo whitelist specific card IDs. what i
need to know is if, for example, an X30 minipci card will fit the X61.
