download YouTube using wget?

I'm on dialup, so if the browser hasn't downloaded a YouTube
video clip within 4 hours, then I can never get it.
Is there any way to download a YouTube video using cURL or wget?
Then if it takes more than one session I could use -c to resume
the download from where it was interrupted.

Alternative to MS Visual Studio for Linux?

One of the main reasons I haven't fully switched over to Linux is that I'm
not aware of a good alternative to MS Visual Studio? Is there one out there?

DVD drive issue or what?

When I auto-mount a film DVD I get the following error messages.

an internet connection with young users it'd be nice to be able to restrict
their p2p applications and voip or skype applications and actually be able
to see how much of the total amount they are individually using.
