Missing Second Hard Drive

Hi,
My PC has two separate hard drives 1 SATA drive (from which the PC
boots, has the OS and everything else) and 1 ATA drive which I use to
store files, music, and back up the former.
The ATA drive is not jumpered and therefore is set as a 'slave' could

A customer has reported that his XP/NTFS PC has started doing an CHKDSK
almost every time it is rebooted. I've not seen the PC yet, but I want to

Help! My PC won't switch on.

Since I only use my PC for a couple of hours a day, keep it switched
off at the socket most of the time. There's been no problem for most
of the the past 3 years, but for the past few weeks the computer has
been taking a while to warm up before it will switch on.

Sreensaver question

I like the "My Pictures" choice of screensaver in the XP dropdown list. (XP
pro SP2 )
However.........does anyone know if it is possible to get it show images in
strict sequence according to file number,
rather that at random.
( Pehaps a registry tweak or something ?) although having looked in places
in Reged ...

Hi,
I have a new PC with XP SP2, which is new to me. When it shuts down, it
ends with a screen telling me it's safe to turn off the PC.
My PC, an Acer, doesn't have a button to turn off (only on), so at this
point I have to scrabble to the socket and unplug it.

When I booted up this evening I noticed activity on the network connection
