HP 22" w/s Monitor.

I have more or less decided on an HP W2207 monitor but there seems to be 2
versions of it, W2207 and a W2207h. I think the W2207h features the HDMi
socket. The HP User Manual says Selected model only.
The W2207h appears to be the ones in shops and in on-line stores.
Anyone got one?

Laptop battery powering

Hi,
I have an old Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 laptop. Recently I upgraded from
Windows 98 to ME.
Since doing so, it runs happily on the mains, but won't run off the battery.
When I unplug the AC adapter, it dies, rather than running off the battery.

I'm useing re-writeable DVDs now I can finf pens wuch are permanent ink ok
for my CDs which I only use once.
I have looked every where and nothing is marked eraseable.
Anyone know a name of a product that is?
Also Internet supplier as I feel the shops will not have it.

Windows XP cannot find drivers for some USB devices even when correct CD is supplied

A customer has a new XP Home PC. Some USB devices work perfectly, but others
such as pen drives and a printer fail to install the correct drivers. The
pen drives are known to work in another XP PC. I've not heard of device

Monitors with digital inputs

hi,
I'm looking at 22" w/s monitors which are now becoming more resonably
priced.
I note the cheapest are analogue only, some have an additional DVi conection
and cable, but still labelled analogue. Others are labelled analogue and
digital.
So I'm told yes DVi can carry both.
Is there a web site that list ...

Laptop with sense of "Fn" key reversed

My nephew's laptop keyboard has suddenly developed a fault which causes the
sense of the blue Fn key to be reversed: when the key is *not* pressed, he

www.belarc.com reports to me it has 2 x 512mb RAM fitted.
So to upgrade I wish to replace them with 1gb ones.

Today I was asked to check out a pc used by a friends 12 year old son
