Epson Perfection V200 scanner - problem with Creativity Suite

Has anyone got one of these scanners? Epson Scan works fine but I can't get
the Creativity Suite to work properly, has anyone else had problems with
this? Also the Copy, Attach to email and PDF buttons don't cause the
Creativity Suite software to operate. Epson customer support have not been
able to suggest a ...

Wife's computer is acting up again. The computer tells her that there
are 30 emails to download and stops before the eighth one completes.
She is using outlook depressed as a mail client, the computer is quite
modern and she uses our BT home hum. (Sorry Jim, I couldn't resist that

I use a USB bb modem. Now I've been given a wireless G router. It has an
ethernet socket for the modem in.
I thought I might just get a USB-ethernet converter. But I'd like to
know if it would work first since I can't figure out how the modem could
be powered without USB.
Has anybody done this?
