OT: Recommend a wireless card

Hi
I'm looking for a decent wireless card to slot into my PC. I want good range
as the router may be downstairs. Budget is no more than ¡ê40.
Any suggestions.

Why is this set up so slow?

This is the set up:
NTL Cable modem -> Linksys WRT54GS wireless router -> PC (hard wired).
Hardwired into the router is a 300GB NAS drive (with 2 USB ports).
Hardwired into the NAS drive is a 160GB USB drive and a printer using the 2
USB ports.

Long term backup solution

keep these for many years to show my sprogs etc
I know that optical media cannot be relied upon for more than a few
years.
What should I back them up onto for longest life ? Tape ?

I am using one server with Win 2003 and 2 workstation one with XP Home the
other with XP professional. The problem I am having is on the machine with
XP Pro where I am receiving a message telling me that "I do not have

Data transfer speeds

I've currently got around 40GB of files copying from my PC (XP Pro) to my
brother's laptop (Vista Home Premium) running through my Linksys WRT54GS
wireless router - Cat5, not wireless.
It's currently chugging along at 1.64MB/Sec, has been going now for 2 hours
and is reporting another 7 hours to go!

Comodo Firewall Blocking Remote Admin (Radmin)

I recently installed Comodo firewall on a PC that was running Remote Admin,
but despite having set up Comodo to allow Radmin complete access, radmin
fails to answer incoming connection requests. As soon as the firewall is
turned off then Radmin works fine and allows all connections. Does anyone

I use wpa tkip on my router and today see an extra entry on the dhcp list
that isnt any of my own systems.
Has someone gotten past the security or does the router give an ip to any
system that tries unsuccessfully to connect?
