They are wanting a very cheap broadband connection. High speed isn't
important: the lines will probably only support up to 500 KB/sec or 1
MB/sec. They don't need email accounts or web space as they will use their
existing ones from the ...

Cannot make a pair of switches communicate
Fri, 12 Jun 2009 13:06:35 -0700 (PDT)
I have an office at the bottom of the garden 60ft from the house. The
plan has always been to put a wired connection between the switch in
the house (generic 8 port 10/100 switch) and the office (Intel 510T 24
port 10/100). I've been working with a rather flaky 802.11b wireless
bridge for a couple of years and rec ...

I could try wake-on-LAN with an older PC that I have in another room.
However, though the card snaps nicely into the PCI slot it's shorter than
the other PCI cards I have fitted to the main board (MSI K7T Turbo) and it
doesn't work. The se ...

I have thought a solution both for email spam and email reliability problems, of Internet.
1. Assuming a sender@sender.address and a receiver@receiver.address, after the sender sends an email at the
receiver, the receiver.address server sends back a message with a random number to the sender.address server.
