Vista keyboard problem

My Vista Home 32bit keeps loading four different keyboard
drivers and I can't find out how to stop it doing it. I only
want the plain standard PS/2 driver, not the two IR or
foreign driver. I'm beginning to think it will require a
registry edit to get it to stop, though I'm happy to be told
otherwise.

Not really homebuilt, but I hope h/w hacking/tinkering covers it <g>.
Trying to think through the setup of an old laptop to use really just
for skype - idea is to maybe get a USB-connected cordless skype phone
thats always available and have it behave much like an extra phone line

Recycled Pc Problems

I found a PC case in the street earlier that had been put out for
collection by the Cleansing tomorrow so I took it home to see if there
was anything worthwhile inside .The Power Supply,Mobo,cpu and a floppy
and two CD drives were there but no Graphics card or memory or hard
drive .
The Mobo is an Intel D875PBZ ...

How will a current bottom-dollar card - 6200LE - stack up against a
"workstation" card of a coupla years ago - Quadro NVS 280 ? (both PCI-e)
Both have 64MB of real memory - enough for me.
Only interested in reasonable, stable 2D performance and reli ...

I mess around with software, so I like to make sure my machine can run
whatever it is I'm playing around with. So I have stuff like the VB

some burn pins on mobo/psu power connector?

Trying to figure out why this oldish asus mobo PC wouldn't boot (or
only sometimes). It was certainly *very* dusty inside but having
cleaned it up a bit I could see burn marks on some pins of the
psu-mobo connector. When I disconnected it there were two pins heavily
discoloured and several pins further on, another ...

Task Manager Wierdness

PC slowing down, looked at task manager (processes for all users) the
CPU usage is up around 70% but system idle is steady on 98% with the odd
percentage of usage in some running programmes
what's with the 70% CPU usage? ...
