New system - sense check required

Hello,
I'm about to order parts for a new system for a mate, could someone just
sense-check this and see if I've made any obvious flaws? It's been about
a year since I last built: (Dabs quicklinx codes in brackets)

I am thinking of ugrading to a quad core cpu its an Intel Q9550 CPU 2.83 Ghz
1333fsb QUAD CORE and I will be using the asus PK5 premium motherboard.
I would like to know what would be the best CPU fan for me to use

installation disks but rely on the use of restore disks & a restore
partition on the HDD. I no longer have the restore partition so

I have helped friends out on several occassions by using a Win XP OEM disc
and using their Windows Key when reformatting and reinstalling XP.

New build temperature

I've just built a new PC with a Core 2 Duo E8400 (3GHz) processor. It's a
45nm chip and I was expected temps idling in the low to mid 30s and maybe
rising to 50 under load. Instead it's idling at 44 and rose to 61 running
Prime 95 torture test.
Should I be concerned about this? The max temp for this CPU is 72 ...

Approx 2 years ago I bought an IBM M52 ThinkCentre desktop

Vista woes

I have a Dell 1520 running Vista that decided this morning it would boot OK
but would not runmail or access the internet via ie. A reboot has led to the
system throwing up an error from LogonUI - unable to find shlwapi.dll. I've
tried the repair options from the vista disc but still get the same problem.

PC temperatures and sisoft Sandra

This pc keeps shutting itself down. POST (on reboot) screen says it has
overheated.
I don't have exact specs here but it a core duo gadget, 580W psu with
associated fans, 2 case fans. Can provide better detail if req'd.
SETI running 24/7 also ZA and AVG free versions.

I originally set my Vista Business machine to single click things (to act
like it was a double click) but I can't now find where I changed this
setting.
