FO: faulty-ish Netgear WGR614 v6 TW router

This is the Telewest router...
Works fine, but I cant get into the settings page any more, keeps asking
for password.
Ive tried all the usual things, including a factory reset, but still
cant get into the settings.
Offers ? Beer money plus postage anyone ??

Believe it to be a memory chip failed.

I bought a few Samsung 1 Tb drives recently and have noticed that they
all seem to whistle after an hour or two of use - can anyone recommend
a quieter drive? I don't mind normal HD noises but this is quite a
piercing high frequency noise and it's not something I can tolerate for
long periods
