We have a Canadian guest staying with us just now and yesterday he said
he was amazed how clean the streets are here, no litter etc. Now I
hadn't noticed this, but I looked around after he said it and he seems
to be right. Edinburgh used to be very dirty but it seems to have

I pick up my new car soon, and I have 1,000 miles to cover fairly quickly so
I can really start to use it.
Where is the warmest and most tropical exotic place in Scotland? I am not

I read recently that councillors are planning a bus lane on the bypass.
Is this going to be an extra lane alongside the two there already or is
it a completely hairbrained abduction of one of the current lanes? ...

Anyone else see a meteor Thursday evening?

While out jogging late Thursday evening (around 10pm) I saw a meteor come
down from the north and impact somewhere between Prestonpans and Tranent (or
maybe further east). My perspective was looking east from my jogging track
just west of the A1/A199 intersection at Tranent. A quick Google, Scotsman
